The party season is about to begin and what better way to get in training than to partake in a healthy does of cheese and wine!

Tomorrow is judgement day at the 27th Annual World Cheese Awards. 7272 cheeses will be on display judged by me and 249 other expert judges. It’s an exciting mix of international dairy expertise and artisan originality! It’s organised by The Guild of Fine Food who are the experts behind The Great Taste Awards and it promises to be an exciting occasion. So if you’re at the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC in Birmingham then give us a wave! We’ll be in out white coats with our cheese irons in hand!

And this weekend is set to be just as exciting as it’s the 2nd Wine Festival Winchester. Saturday Kitchen sweethearts and Masters of Wine Susie Barrie & Peter Richards and their talented team are bringing the best wines the world has to offer to Winchester, all under one roof.

Hundreds of spectacular wines will be on offer in Winchester’s stunning Guildhall along with a few deli treats too… And I hear rumours of chocolate… But the organisers are yet to confirm of there are any Percy Pigs on offer.
